Parvana’s Journey • Chapter 2 & 3

We listened to chapter 2 & 3 of Parvana’s Journey.

CHAPTER TWO ANSWERS:

When Parvana’s father said “the world is our classroom”, I think that means, he’s talking about everything in the world. You can learn about anything in the world and I think that’s what he means when he says that. A couple days ago I was outside and actually learned how to properly play a sport.. Kinda. When Parvana’s father said “some people are dead before they die”, I think that he means, the people who lost everything think they have nothing left to live for except cry.

CHAPTER THREE ANSWERS:

I think “no war in his face” is explaining that sometimes babys have no clue what’s going on in life so that baby in the book is happy. In the next chapter, it’s just going to be Parvana running away from soldiers and taking care of he baby. Before the chapter ends, it says she grabbed her things and started to walk. Basically I think she isn’t going to find a village in a bit.

What is Parvana’s mothers reaction if Parvana finds her? What will she say about the baby?

  1. I agree with what you’re saying though I don’t think they will find a village until later on or i think they might find a village and soldiers will take over. What do you think?

    • I agree that they might find a camp and soldiers will take over. Later on in the book, do you think Parvana will find her family?
