Today was our last assembly for this school year.
We said goodbye to the staff and Grade Six students that are leaving us! We had a lot of fun watching the silly staff video as well. Ask your child to tell you about this year’s silly video.
We would love a fresh batch of playdough for our classroom if anyone has time!
According to our schedule, June is open. Thanks so much!
On Tuesday, June 25th, the kindergarten classes will be participating in a selection of special outdoor year end activities. Children will be able to bring bathing suits and towels for some water play centres. We are inviting parents to join us during our morning play if you wish (9:00-11:00). So please consider this your “save the date” message. Further details will be sent closer to the date.
On Monday, we had a kick off assembly for Children’s Mental Health week in the gym for all grades. We wore green on Tuesday to show support. Wednesday we gathered into our house teams to focus on the zones of self regulation and calming tools to use to help his move back into the green zone. Thursday’s special activity was a walk around the perimeter of the school during first recess. On Friday, Phil Main ran past our school as part of his pledge to run/walk/crawl 24 km per day during Mental Health week.
Here we are encouraging Phil on his run past our school.
